Volunteering with St Martins School

Hi All!
I'm extremely honored and excited to be selected to volunteer with other members of TRG at St Martin's School in Kibagare Slum in Nairobi, Kenya - TRG's global corporate charity, which we've been partnered with since 2019.
Once at St. Martin's, I will be working alongside my TRG colleagues and participating in a number of activities and events including:
- Hosting sessions at the computer lab to help students learn how to use PowerPoint, create a CV & other lessons
- Participate in the school's weekly feeding program where St Martins opens its doors to the whole community to offer everyone meals
- Attend home visits to meet the children of St. Martins and their families
- Volunteer with landscaping and other manual labor around the school
- Organize a sports day for the students of St Martins
- Visit the St Martins boys school
St. Martins School is both a primary and secondary school located in one of Nairobi's largest slums. The school's mission is to promote education and empower students to change their communities' futures and their own. In order to attend this trip I am looking to fundraise by February 2023.
On the last volunteer trip to St Martin's, the trip consisted of a weekly feeding program, hosting a sports/field day for the students, visiting homes of St Martin's school families, and accompanying students on a field trip to the Nairobi animal sanctuary - for many of the students, it was their first time leaving the Kibagare slum and was a huge reward for their hard work at school!
