My name is Ella and I am currently a sixth form student at Bishop Luffa. In July 2026 I will be going out with the Grassroots charity to help make a difference in the lives of the children living out in Tanzania.

Grassroots is a church based charity with sponsorship programmes all over the world. Its projects help support around 3000 children.

The Grassroots project in Tanzania is based in Mbeya near the Zambian boarder. This is a particularly poor area of Africa but with Grassroots help, children have been able to attend primary and secondary school and even university. The programme is run by a team of local people from the community and does so much in turning around the lives of the Tanzanian children.

I am honoured to have been selected however I need to raise £2000 by May to fund my travel and to allow me to take part in this amazing opportunity. If you would be interested in helping me to fulfill my dream, any small donation would be great fully received.
