Hi - my name is Luke and in March 2027, I’ll be nearly 15 years old and travelling to Kenya to support a local school through practical work, learning and sport. It’s an opportunity I’m incredibly grateful for, and one I’m willing to work hard to make possible.

In short, I’ve volunteered to take part in a school trip to Kenya where I’ll be working alongside a local community to help support a local school. While there, I’ll be helping with practical projects such as repairing or renewing parts of a school roof or fence or making furniture for classrooms.

Alongside this building work, I’ll also be spending time with the children - coaching sports, playing games and helping out wherever I can. I’m really looking forward to learning from them as much as helping them, while gaining a better understanding of a different culture and way of life.

The money raised will help to cover the cost of the trip but if I’m fortunate enough to raise more than needed, any additional funds will be used to buy educational resources, sports equipment and clothing, which I’ll take with me to share with the children and the wider community.

if you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean a great deal to me as it will help turn this opportunity into something that truly benefits a community that really needs it.
