Volunteering to Help in Los Ángeles Wildfires

My name is Julio Maravilla. As a concerned resident of Indianapolis, I want to ensure that people of all backgrounds work for causes that unite us and not divide us. After the first week of fires in the different areas of Los Angeles County, unfortunately the damage caused by natural disasters is sometimes unexplainable and incalculable. Therefore, I asked for a united effort and many responded. Although few of us will be able to travel to help, others will do so from home. I would now like to commit to cleanup efforts and other efforts that unite all the people of Indianapolis.

For this effort, I would like to bring a team of Volunteers to Los Angeles. The goal is for volunteers to be aware that we are going to help, and to ask for days off from our jobs to go volunteer at shelters. We understand the exhaustion from this can be more than just physical. We plan to volunteer, assist with providing food for police and firefighters who have been working endlessly, and donate our time and resources.

We would like to ask for donations to fund this trip and pay for the plane tickets for the 10 people traveling to volunteer. The rest of the money will be donated to help those in Los Angeles.
