Volunteering in Tanzania with CR Hope Foundation

Hi,

In November 2025 myself and Antonia will be flying out to Zanzibar in Tanzania to volunteer for 3 weeks with CR Hope Foundation. As a part of the application process/ethos we have to fundraise to cover travelling costs, and raise money for the charity.

The CR HOPE Foundation is a charity, not-for-profit organisation launched in 2017 with the sole objective of providing quality education to children and youth in Zanzibar, Tanzania, thus fighting against poverty in the region.

The 'Seeds of Light' school was built in 2022, and now supports the education of 72 children.

We'll be supporting the children by engaging in a variety of activities aimed at nurturing the children's well-being and supporting community growth, as well as assisting with English lessons, and helping build and expand the school building.

All donations and money will be going towards funding the trip and buying supplies to take out with us for the children.

Our first fundraising event to support this initiative will be the Yorkshire Tough Mudder in July‍. Tough mudder creates obstacle courses designed to test all around strength, stamina and mental grit! It involves a lot of mud and also 10,000 volts of electricity⚡️ Wish us luck!!
