Hi, my name is Louise Smyth. I am currently studying Midwifery at University of Galway. In June 2025 myself and some Midwifery students are heading to Tanzania to volunteer in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Arusha and Simanjaro Health centre for a month.

During our time in Tanzania we will have the opportunity to provide medical and surgical care to adults and children while also providing care for women antenatally and postnatally within hospitals and outpatient settings.

Any contribution will go towards some travel expenses and the charity this trip is partnered with, Athenry Simanjaro partnership, who provide medical aid in Arusha and Simanjaro to improve healthcare.
