Hi my name is Alisha, and I am 20 years old. I live in a town called Porthcawl, which is situated in South Wales.

I would describe myself as a thoughtful young lady, who has always looked at ways to improve not just myself, but others.

This has brought me to stand up as a volunteer for International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ), and take a solo trip to Tanzania in Africa. The trip duration is 10 weeks and I’m thoroughly looking forward to giving something back.

To make this a valuable trip, I am looking to raise some money, which will be used to purchase essential items for the children. Such items will include stationery equipment, pencils, pens, note books, calculators and colouring books.

I really want to do something positive and this opportunity has presented itself to me.

Whilst I’m a little anxious to be doing this alone, I am also really happy and excited to experience and explore this opportunity, as well as touching the lives of people in need.

The charity IVHQ is an amazing charity which currently helps over 45 countries worldwide whilst holding 300+ projects within their programme such as childcare, teaching, arts & music, wildlife & animal care, community development, teens summer camp and refugee support.

As I am currently on the childcare programme, I will be working in schools with young children. My roles will include helping them, supporting them and doing something good for the community.

My aim is to raise £350 and any donation will be massively appreciated by both myself and the children in Tanzania.
