Hi everyone, thank you so much for stopping by and taking out some time to have a read on what I want to do. As some of you may know, I have a desire to advance the kingdom of God. This is something I intend to accomplish through various means such as displaying love and care, and offering my time to other people in need (as Jesus did).
I have a passion in educating people about the love of Christ but not just that, also practicing it myself.

When I first came across international volunteering HQ, I was intrigued by its volunteering programme not only because of the credible testaments that previous volunteers had given about their experiences but also its affordability. The programme allows volunteers like myself to volunteer their time with young people on projects such as; teaching, child care, sports teaching, medical or agriculture. I will hopefully be going there to do Childcare and Teaching. This is because I have a passion for the well being of young children, I love educating and inspiring young people to be more motivated about education and succeed in all that they do.

I am a firm believer that if you want change, then it needs to start in yourself and before you go outside make sure you start within your local environment. This is one of the many reasons I joined a programme called city year, where I volunteered full time for 5 months in a school in London. I was able to help the pupils on their behaviour, learning and attendance. The aim was to encourage them, that regardless of your income or cultural background, you can achieve greatly. Fortunately, through the grace of God I had an amazing time doing this, and now I want to embark on making an impact overseas.

Ghana has been one country that I have desired to go to. Being of service in the Ghana programme I am embarking on, includes; Bathing the children in the orphanage, serving food, taking them to school, teaching young people in school English, Reading books to the children, cooking, and many more. These are just a few of the great things I will be doing out there in Ghana.

As you know travelling to another part of the world, volunteering cost money, and I would be so grateful if you could help me raise money for my month away to Ghana. I have to raise £1,500 by February 2017. This fund covers; Flights, travel insurance, Visa, Programme fee, transfers, accommodation, food, in country tours and Gifts for the children. Jesus loves all these children so much, and I want to be used by him to go out there and tell them about that love, not only tell them, but show it to them. Any donation you can give is a great donation, no matter how small it may be it all adds up, and it would mean very much to me.
