Volunteering at Migrant Detention Ctr in TX

I am going to volunteer at a Detention Center in TX with women and children asylum seekers between Christmas and New Years.  I am responsible for my transportation, housing, food and all related expenses.  My understanding is that being inside a detention center is an incredibly emotional and difficult experience. I am excited to be of service and to be honest, I'm apprehensive. Your contribution will help to off-set my expenses, but more importantly will be a way for you to be a part of what I am doing.  When I walk in, I will have everybody who contributed with me.
