Hi, my name is Alice and I'm a 17 year old student in Macclesfield and I would be incredibly grateful for your help in supporting me to visit the Sacred Heart School, Clinic and Orphanage in Varasanadu.

Varasanadu is a small rural village down in the very south of India, 2 hours away from the nearest town of Theni. The people there are despairingly poor and in need of aid, healthcare and help with getting around the village, and this Clinic does exactly that. My school, All Hallows Catholic College, first started raising funds for the Clinic back in 2008 where the Presentation Sisters were working from just a shed. Now 17 years later, my school continues to support them all year round with fundraising projects as well as regular visits with selected students every 2 years.

This time round I am lucky enough to have been chosen to be one of the students going which means a lot to me having heard all about it since starting my journey at the school. Whilst organising and volunteering to raise money for the Clinic in school, I need to raise £1,700 independently to cover my travel costs to the Clinic. I'd really appreciate any help supporting me in my volunteering to help the community in Varasanadu. Thank you!
