Cara Girls Rescue Centre Volunteer Trip

Hi there,

My name is Ella O’Neill and I am 19 years old. I have been fortunate enough to receive the amazing opportunity to volunteer and make a trip to The Cara Girls Rescue Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, for 2 weeks in Feb 2025.

Cara Projects is an Irish Charity (NGO) that was set up in 2012 to provide protection to young girls who have suffered from abuse, neglect and early marriages. This incredible charity offers these young women and girls a safe environment to grow and develop.

To make this trip possible I must raise a minimum of €2,500. This money raised will go towards creating a better future for the lives of vulnerable and mistreated girls. The money will help offer them education, healthcare, food and sustain the facilities within the rescue centre. While volunteering I will give my time and energy to create the most caring environment I can while also helping with practical factors.
