Hi my name is Lena-Rose and I'm fundraising for my volunteer placement to the Philippines in July 2026.

I will be working with the Nano Nagle Learning Center for the Badjao Tribe in Cebu, an education center for children, young people and adults of the Badjao Tribe.

I am volunteering as teaching support in the learning center, facilitating workshops and activities for all including arts, music, sport, and drama, and upholding maintenance of the center while I'm there.

In particular I would like to run a football tournament with the kids and adults mixed into teams for a full day out, a photography workshop with the young people to engage them in the beauty of their environment and local community, and some cooking classes for young people with adults in the community coming in to share their recipes and local dishes.

The funds raised will be used to pay for the travel, food and accommodation for the duration of my stay, as well as going towards the upkeep and general management of the center and the running of activities for the community.
