Volunteer Mission: Wildlife Conservation

Hi, my name is Megan, and I’m excited to share that I’ve been accepted to volunteer in a once-in-a-lifetime conservation program in Costa Rica — either supporting endangered sea turtles or working hands-on at a wildlife rescue sanctuary. I’ll find out which project I’m placed in closer to my departure date, but both focus on protecting some of the most vulnerable species on our planet.

 Whether I’m patrolling nesting beaches to protect sea turtles or caring for rescued sloths, monkeys, and parrots, I’ll be working alongside local conservation teams to make a meaningful impact.

Tasks may include:
• Feeding and caring for animals
• Supporting wildlife rescues and rehabilitation
• Collecting conservation data or forest vegetation
• Building monkey bridges or helping at hatcheries
• Contributing to community education and sustainability projects

This is a fully self-funded journey, and I’m asking for your help to make it possible. 55% of what I raise will go directly to the local sanctuary or turtle project to support their critical efforts on the ground.
