VoicesFromSC Giving back to Orphans in Somalia

As-salamu alaykum, we at @VoiceFromTheStairCase are gathering money ahead of the blessed month of Ramadan for orphans/less fortunate people in Somalia in need of food and clothes. Last year we were able to contribute $2480 which helped feed 50 families in a poverty stricken camp outside of Mogadishu Those who have visited Somalia know that there are thousands of children on the streets begging for money from outside of the airport to outside of homes. In these difficult times, we need to support those who are extremely vulnerable and alone in this Dunya. We will be giving them care packages insha'Allah, with the following items: sanitary items as we are in the middle of a pandemic, change of clothes, food, and school items. May Allah SWT bless all of you that donate and Insha’allah we reach our goal. Jazakallah. I will keep all of you updated Insha’allah.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Bring the orphan close to you, pat his head, and feed him with the same food you eat. It will soften your heart and fulfill your need.”
