Our Story: A Palestinian Family's Struggle for a New Beginning:

My name is Amal, a 40-year-old Palestinian woman from Gaza. I would like to share with you the painful story of my family. I have five children: Bassam (15 years old), Othman (14 years old), Waseem (9 years old), Tareq (6 years old), and Abdulrahman (2 years old). They used to live a joyful and comfortable life, supported by their father, Mohammad, who worked tirelessly to provide for them. We were on the verge of moving from our small house to a new home that was meant to be a fresh start for us as a family.

The Home We Lost:
Unfortunately, fate intervened, and this war took everything from us. Both our old home and the new house we were preparing were destroyed, along with our family business—Mohammad’s aluminum kitchen workshop, which he had built with passion and effort.

Losing our old home wasn’t just about the loss of property; it meant losing a sanctuary filled with cherished memories. Every corner held stories of our children’s laughter and the joyful moments we shared. Those walls witnessed our love and hope. However, the war forced us to say goodbye to this place, tearing away a significant part of our lives.

Our Old Home:

Our New Home which although we lost it.

The Burden of Displacement:
Our journey of displacement has been exhausting, filled with challenges and hardship. We were forced to relocate seven times, each time facing the same pain. We gathered our modest belongings, dismantled our tents, and reassembled them in new, unfamiliar places.

Our first move took us from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, in the eastern part of Deir al-Balah. Fear of the unknown consumed us, and we never imagined that this would only be the beginning. Soon after, we moved again—from Deir al-Balah to Mawasi Khan Younis—leaving behind any hope of stability. We barely began to adjust when harsh conditions forced us to relocate to western Deir al-Balah and then to Mawasi Rafah, as if we were chasing the illusion of safety.

With every step, we dragged behind us dreams that seemed to slip further away. Each new tent we erected was accompanied by the hope that it would be our last, but every move deepened our frustration and exhaustion. Still, we carried a small glimmer of hope, nourishing it with each new morning, in the belief that one day we would find a place to call home again.

Mohammad’s Aluminum Workshop: A Dream Shattered:
My husband, Mohammad, dedicated years of hard work to designing and manufacturing aluminum kitchens. His workshop on Al-Jalaa Street was the product of his sweat, late nights, and dreams for a better future. But in a single moment, everything vanished. The workshop was burned to the ground, and the factory he built was completely destroyed.

Our Plan and Financial Requirements:
We are a family of seven seeking to leave Gaza in search of safety and stability. This journey requires precise coordination with the Egyptian side, costing us $25,000. Below is a breakdown of the costs:

Coordination for Amal (mother): $5,000
Coordination for Mohammad (father): $5,000
Coordination for Bassam (15 years old): $2,500
Coordination for Othman (14 years old): $2,500
Coordination for Waseem (9 years old): $2,500
Coordination for Tareq (6 years old): $2,500
Coordination for Abdulrahman (2 years old): $2,500

Monthly Living Expenses After Relocation:
Once we reach our destination, we will need to cover our living expenses during the first few months, especially since our children might need to attend private schools temporarily.

Estimated Monthly Expenses:
Temporary Apartment Rent (3 rooms): $500 - $800
Private School Fees (5 children):
$100 - $300 per child × 5 = $500 - $1,500
Food and Basic Needs:
$800 - $1,000
Utilities (Electricity, Water, Internet): $200
Transportation: $300 - $500
Healthcare and Insurance:
$150 - $300 per person × 7 = $1,050 - $2,100
Clothing and School Supplies:
$100 - $200 per child × 5 = $500 - $1,000

Rebuilding Mohammad’s Aluminum Workshop:
Part of our plan is to allocate $10,000 to restart Mohammad’s aluminum kitchen business, which was our main source of income.

Estimated Costs:
Rent for a Small Workshop: $500 - $800 per month
Basic Tools and Machinery: $3,000 - $4,000
Initial Raw Materials: $2,000
Marketing and Promotion: $500 - $800
Part-Time Assistant: $300 - $500 per month

Buying a Modest Apartment:
Once the business stabilizes, we plan to use part of the remaining amount to purchase a small apartment. Prices for modest apartments range between $10,000 and $15,000, depending on location and amenities. We aim to buy a two-bedroom apartment that will provide a safe and stable environment for our family.

A Call for Support
After everything we have endured, our goal is to secure a dignified and stable life for our family. We are determined to rebuild our livelihood through the aluminum business and eventually purchase a modest apartment to call home.

We are in desperate need of your support. The brutality of occupation has left deep wounds in our hearts and reality. Every day, we witness our dreams crumble amid scenes of loss and destruction. We can no longer carry this burden alone, and we need your help to restore hope.

This campaign is not just a plea for help; it is a human cry for survival. We need your hand to rebuild our lives and support each other during these difficult times. If you can, join us in this effort and be part of changing our harsh reality.
