Hello family and friends,

I am so excited to tell you guys that this summer, in July, I will be going on a mission trip to Costa Rica with several students and staff from my school! This opportunity is for students who are interested in growing more in their language learning through an immersive cultural experience, while serving the community and becoming familiar with Costa Rican culture. While in Costa Rica, I will be taking classes at the Christian Immersion Spanish Academy (CISA), helping serve children in the local community, and experiencing Costa Rica’s beauty through several group excursions.

Most excitingly, though, I will have the opportunity to be hosted in local homes! This will challenge me to use my Spanish daily and will give me a glimpse of what life is like in Costa Rica. I am anticipating this will likely be the most difficult and the most beneficial part of the trip!

Due to the expenses of flying and staying in the country for 10 days (around $2300 per person), students are encouraged to reach out to family and friends who might be interested in supporting this opportunity. If you have odd jobs that you need help with, please let me know and I would be glad to work for any financial support you’d like to give. If you don’t have any work available but would still like to support me financially, you can support me here by contributing to my GoFundMe or write a check to Cameron Reese and put Costa Rica trip in the memo line.

But more importantly, if you are willing to support me and the group through prayer, I would greatly appreciate your prayers for safety, for deeper language learning, and for beautiful relationships to form with host families and others that we encounter!
