Funeral Services have been arranged:

The San Antonio Services for Edith Bell will be held on Saturday August 26, 2023 at 2:00pm at Alamo Heights Baptist Church. Please join our family in celebrating her life and many ties to the San Antonio community as an educator at James Madison Elementary School, Sam Houston High School, S.H. Gates Elementary School, and John J. Pershing Elementary School; a mentor and coach at Cambridge Elementary School; and a friend to many wonderful people.

UPDATE: Edith was unable to recover from surgery and passed away this afternoon. The Bell family is so appreciative of all your support. Please keep them in your prayers!

Dexter Bell has given his heart to serving children in education at AHISD for many years with unending patience, commitment and a love for building relationships with every student and adult that he works with. He has spent countless hours supporting others and is now in need of support from our community to allow him time to focus on his family.

Mr. Bell’s wife Edith underwent double bypass heart surgery in early August, requiring extensive follow-up care. We are kindly asking for donations to help alleviate medical bills and expenses that the Bell family may incur. Please spread the word and keep “Mr. Bell” and Edith in your thoughts and prayers for a full recovery during this difficult time.
