Hi! My name is Natasha and I put on the Annual OP Ball “Fishin in the Pines” kids trout tournament at Lake Cuyamaca in Julian every September! This year the event is on 9/23 and it’s the 23rdAnnual! This is a NON PROFIT event! With over 530 kids attending last year, this tournament is all about continuing the future of sport fishing! Relying completely off of donations, each child that comes gets a free rod and reel, free lunch provided by the SD Anglers, they compete for trophies, and they all chances to win kayaks, float tubes, fishing trips, camping and fishing gear, bikes, scooters, etc! All of this is possible because of donations! The donations let me pay for it all while it’s completely FREE for all the kids! There’s no other event like it! We have kids from 3-15 coming up to catch their first fish or compete for the largest trout of the day. Typically the derby cost over $12,000.  We desperately need help to make this day happen! I see families come back to this event year after year, it is truly one of a kind! But it is not possible without donations! Please, your kind and generous donations of any amount go such a long ways. The looks on the kids faces is worth it all. If you can donate in any way please do! For the future of the sport!
