VMCFS 2024 for Van Mildert JCR and YPP

This year join Van Mildert Charity fashion show in raising money for Van Mildert College JCR and the Young Person’s Project.

YPP has been raising the aspirations of 14/15-year-old pupils from schools in disadvantaged areas in the North East since the project's foundation in 2004.

YPP not only develops the pupil's self-confidence now, but also expands their aspirations for the future. YPP gives the pupils a better understanding of the opportunities open to them and instil self-belief to aim high, whatever their chosen path. YPP runs confidence-building and skills-based exercises that focus on creativity, leadership and teamwork. Some pupils on YPP even aspire to higher education as a result of being exposed to university life and students.

Van Mildert College JCR is essential to life at Mildert, it provides structure and support to all students and really is the centre of community. Providing sports and societies with funding, to running events the JCR is core to uni life.

The Outreach project and JCR as a whole perfectly capture the ethos of the fashion show. All money raised will go directly to these wonderful causes. We would greatly appreciate any money you could give to help us support these charities!!
