Hello neighbors,

Our annual HANCOCK STREET BLOCK PARTY is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th, and planning is underway. As most of you know, this block party is a long-standing tradition on our block. The street is closed off from 8 am to 8 pm. Neighbors invite friends and relatives and throw their own parties that spill onto the street. There’s music, games, food, and dancing. It’s a time to enjoy our beautiful block, share a drink or food with neighbors, and enjoy good weather together. To make this party happen, we are asking neighbors to contribute to cover the cost of the different planned events that are listed below:

Music - Sound equipment and DJ; (~$1,200)

Children's activities - bouncy houses; craft tables; face painting; soccer kicking competition; race; balloons; (~$1,200)

Food - Hot dogs/water/juices; ice cream truck. (~$600)

Total projected cost - $3,000
