Hi, my name is Lana, and I am fundraising in memory of our beloved husband and father, Vladislav Terekhov.
On the evening of 8 July, Vladislav began experiencing sudden chest pain and shortness of breath. Tragically, he passed away the following day at the age of 53 while under the care of Glenfield Hospital. He had been in their care for 13 hours. His death was unexpected and devastating.
Vladislav was physically fit, intellectually curious, and—by all appearances—healthy. His passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues.
For many months before his death, Vladislav endured intense stress. His employer, Remark AI UK Ltd, withheld four months of his salary and then forced him into unpaid leave for an additional four months. Despite this, he remained committed to his work, driven by integrity and his love for research. In the end, he chose to resign and move on, hoping for a fresh start.
Vladislav was a brilliant professional, deeply passionate about learning and innovation. He devoted himself to self-education and mentoring others—especially our son, whom he was guiding into a similar academic path. Our son was preparing to begin university this year, inspired by his father’s encouragement and example.
Vladislav was on the verge of starting a new job when the prolonged stress took its toll. He suffered a hypertensive crisis that led to an aortic dissection—a deadly condition that ultimately took his life.
We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial costs and to support our family as we navigate this heartbreaking and unexpected loss. Your kindness, support, and any contributions are deeply appreciated during this difficult time.
Thank you for reading Vladislav’s story and keeping his memory alive.
With gratitude,
Lana
