We need to reach our fundraising goal by the end of June to make Vivie's Playground possible! Please consider a contribution of any level -- every little bit helps! -- and share with your friends.
--------------------------
Two days after her third birthday, Vivienne Claire Burgess went peacefully to sleep and never awoke. The sudden and unexplained passing of this healthy and joyful girl has broken the hearts of her family and community. But, her short and vibrant life has inspired the establishment of the Vivienne’s Joy Foundation – a charitable foundation dedicated raising awareness of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood, supporting bereaved families, and bringing joy to others.
The foundation is seeking funding to build Vivie's Playground in St. Paul's Boyd Park, transforming one of Vivie's favorite places into a safe and imaginative play space that brings children, families and the community together.
We’re using a unique community-led process to redevelop the playground. Each step – from the playground design to the build itself – will rely on the hearts, hands and resources of our community. Our goal is for the end result to not only serve as a place to honor Vivie and all children in our community lost too soon, but to also deepen community engagement and shared investment in this special place.
The beneficiaries of this project are the children of St. Paul – of all abilities – who will imagine, develop friendships, play hard, and grow in this special place.
If you’re touched by this story,
If you’re grateful to have a healthy child at home,
If you want a truly unique play space to share with your kiddos, or
If you’re looking for an opportunity to bring some extra light into the world,
Please consider a tax-deductible donation to support this project.
