After years of hard work, I’m at risk of losing the rented land where I grow my vines.
A vine disease has destroyed part of my production, and I can no longer cover the bills.
This is my last attempt to keep my dream alive.
My story
Hi, my name is Enrico. I’m a small farmer working in the hills of Valdobbiadene, Italy.
For the past 6 years, I’ve grown grapes with passion and care—some vineyards from my family, others rented to expand little by little. I manage about 11,000 sqm of vineyards, all certified under SQNPI for sustainable farming.
But this year has been devastating.
A deadly disease called Flavescenza dorata has wiped out a large part of my productive vines.
Without that income, I can’t pay my vineyard rents, and if I don’t pay on time, I’ll lose those lands.
I also have unpaid bills piling up, and no way to cover them right now.
To survive, I’ve always done extra work—part-time jobs, long hours, no holidays. I work 15–16 hours a day, but it’s still not enough. This is no longer sustainable.
What your help means
I'm not asking for much. I’m asking for a chance to keep working with dignity.
I’ve lowered the fundraising goal to €5,000:
To pay the urgent rent for my vineyards
To avoid losing the land that I’ve cared for with my hands
To keep my small farm alive
If I raise more, I’ll invest it in rebuilding and upgrading essential equipment — and maybe, someday, produce my own wine.
❤️ Even 5 euros makes a difference
