An annual August celebration by and for people of colour in Edinburgh!
Created by the comedian Sophie Duker in 2024 as a direct response to the far right and anti-immigration riots in the UK, Vitamin P.O.C. is a collective committed to creating a joyful, inclusive space and resources for any people of colour 18+ who are in, live in or plan to pass through Edinburgh during the August festival season. Because of the seasonal, volunteer-led nature of our group, we are entirely dependent on yearly fundraising for our in-person Edinburgh event. Tuesday 11 August 2026 will see the third official outing of this once-a-year tradition.
Your donations will go towards:
- Get Home Safe travel fund (for attendees who risk harassment, intimidation or violence due to their identity or presentation)
- Performer, photographer/videographer fees
- Non-alcoholic beverages and refreshments in wellness area
- Venue bar tab
- Fees for volunteer Safeguarding team
- Party decorations, guest wristbands, merch
- Enhanced event production, stalls and exhibiting potential for global majority artists and creators
We are committed to building community at the Edinburgh Fringe and beyond, and are so thankful for the extraordinary allies, organisations
and individuals who make our solidarity and celebration possible each year, at the centre of the greatest arts festival in the world.
As in previous years, any excess funds will be split between charities that uplift and protect P.O.C. communities and individuals.
