Are you wondering why you should support Visions Camp? Here's why:

Visions Camp is a non-profit organization that has been providing enriching and fun camp experiences for teens between the ages of thirteen and nineteen since 1981. We prioritize serving teenagers from low-income families and at-risk youth, providing them with the opportunity to participate in a unique and life-changing camp experience.

At Visions Camp, teens make new connections with their peers, spend time outdoors, and participate in exciting and fun recreational programs such as dance, yoga, meditation, and hiking. Our daily programming also includes a personal development program that aims to empower adolescents to design fulfilling lives and gain the confidence to confront any challenges they may encounter along the way.

In addition to our summer camp program, we organize year-round activities for our campers, providing opportunities for personal development and maintaining connections between campers. We also offer a winter weekend camp whenever possible, perfect for those who may be nervous about attending a full-week summer camp.

Our staff is composed entirely of volunteers, young professionals, and students who dedicate their time to ensure that future generations can enjoy the positive and meaningful experience Visions Camp has to offer.

However, the cost associated with running camp for the week can reach $35,000 to $40,000. These expenses directly affect the fees we charge our campers, and limit the amount of subsidies we can provide to those who cannot assume the full costs. Additional expenses for materials used to create and run our programs also come into play in the fees we charge. While we do receive some donations, we cannot always get everything we need.

To keep costs low for our targeted clientele and ensure the sustainability of Visions Camp for years to come, we are seeking support through donations of any amount. Any contribution can help us get closer to getting another kid to camp. To put things into perspective, the cost per camper this year is $590, and many families cannot afford this expense. However, it is our mission to not turn kids away from camp, no matter what. Your support of $125 is equivalent to ⅕ of a camper, $300 is half a camper, $590 is one camper, and $1000 is two campers.
