Hello! Each year my tennis club (San Diego Tennis Federation) has a Toy Drive and Cash collection to benefit CHEROKEE POINT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Typically this is done at our Holiday Party every year at the beginning of December, but this year we are unable to have our party, due to Covid regulations. So, for this year, I'd like to put out this GoFundMe link, so in December we can hand off much-needed cash to the Principal, where she can buy toys and grocery bags for both the children and adults in the family, to make sure their holidays are a little brighter, during this very difficult time. Cherokee Point is a small elementary school right in the center of San Diego, and the stories we have heard from Mrs. Corral (the Principal) have been so heart-warming, about how our little fund raiser has helped so many families at her school during the holiday season.

Here's a message from the Principal, Mrs. Corral:
Thank you for your interest in donating this holiday season to the children and families of Cherokee Point Elementary School! Each year our families are showered with gifts from the members of the San Diego Tennis Federation. Last year, our school distributed donated toys, and purchased additional toys, canned foods, and frozen turkeys with the monetary donations. It has been especially hard for our families during this pandemic, as some have lost their jobs, and are moving in with other family members or friends just to have shelter. All donations would be used to purchase toys for the children and food for their families. This year, I am hoping to hold an outdoor event to distribute the gifts and food. Please consider donating again this year to the families in City Heights. Thank you so much for your generosity!
