Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers is hosting our Second Annual Family Law Now Live Virtual Summit on October 26th & 27th, 2023. This summit is an extension of our virtual event series and is part of our continued commitment to providing our community with access to educational resources. Over the course of two days, we will be offering several 1-hour presentations on a variety of family law topics, featuring several experts in the legal field. Our aim with the summit is to provide those in the legal community with additional knowledge and tools and offer additional support to those navigating separation and divorce.

DocEquity has sponsored the Virtual Summit with a $5,000 donation towards the Abrigo Centre 's Violence Against Women Program. We are opening up individual donations to our audience members to try and match DocEquity's generous contribution.

Violence Against Women program:

As a social service agency, this is a core Abrigo program supporting women and children escaping intimate partner violence in Toronto and the GTA. It primarily provides individual counselling and safety planning as well as emergency transportation, food vouchers (food insecurity is a serious and growing issue), health items and medical supplies not covered by OHIP to over 500 clients annually facing abuse. A donation towards this program will also contribute towards purchased art supplies for Abrigo’s Women’s Group, who meet face-to-face on Tuesday’s to discuss themes of self-esteem, emotional regulation, and exploring thoughts and feelings related to challenging experiences.
