Vine Ministries Christmas Fundraiser 2022

Hello all,

I hope that you have had a wonderful and blessed year. Christmas is fast approaching, a time when we celebrate the light of our Savior entering a dark world. Though surrounded by deep darkness when it arrived, the light overcame the darkness and has continued to shine throughout the ages since. For our brothers and sisters in Haiti, this has been a year full of darkness. Violence and oppression have risen to new heights, also resulting a severe lack of food and other basic necessities. Many fear for their lives on their commutes to and from work, and residential neighborhoods are becoming unspeakably dangerous for young men and women who want nothing to do with the gang warfare at the heart of this crisis.

Still, in the midst of this darkness, there is light. Many organizations, both from inside and outside of Haiti, are dedicated to caring for the nation’s most vulnerable and ensuring that their essential needs are being met. One of these organizations is Vine Ministries, a charity based in the mountains of Haiti's Ouest region. For over 10 years, Vine Ministries has welcomed children out of Haiti’s most dangerous areas and provided them with the material and spiritual care that they need to grow into the men and women God has called them to be. One key element of our ministry is an orphanage that can host as many as 20 youth in a peaceful mountain setting, far from the violent neighborhoods that they have left behind. Rent for the orphanage is paid biannually, and we are hoping to raise two-thirds of it this Christmas season to ensure that we can continue providing this critical support to our children in the year ahead. We have made a $1000 start towards our $4000 goal and are asking you to prayerfully consider supporting us, so that we can continue to shine brightly during one of Haiti’s darkest hours. I’m also excited to share with you a video message from Pastor Voltaire Baptiste, the founder of Vine Ministries, and Santhia Baptiste, the director of our orphanage.
