Village of Mazunte rebuild after hurricane

Hurricane Agatha hit the coast of Oaxaca México on Monday May 30, 2022. The eye of the catagory 2 storm was right near Mazunte where I built a palapa house 26 years ago and where my business Sunset Paddle Tours has been operating in the winter for 6 years.

Many of you who are receiving this go fund me have taken my SUP paddle board tour for the Sunset on the open ocean. It’s a simple and magical experience based out of beautiful Mazunte.

The hurricane destroyed much of our village. The money raised by this go fund me will be given to the people restoring the power and water and cleaning the damage caused by this devastating storm. There is limited economic activity along this section of coastline and people have simple houses easily destroyed by storms. A small donation can make a big difference in the ability of the village to rebuild effectively and open its tourist economy back up in the coming months.

Sunset Paddle Tours wants to provide some show of support for this special place and your donation shows how much I and we love Mazunte. I am not in Mazunte at the moment but am trying to make a difference in this manner and will promptly make sure the funds get to where they are needed. Thanks to all who can help.

Hurricane Agatha choco la coasta de Oaxaca, México el 30 de Mayo 2022. El ojo de este tormento toca muy cerca del pueblo Mazunte donde yo hice una casita Palapa hace 26 año y donde yo tengo un negocio de tours en tablas de SUP para ver la puesta del sol. Muchas quien están recibiendo este mensaje han tomado este tour.

El huricane destruyó mucho del nuestro pueblo. El dinero que recibirá voy a dar al los quien están arreglando el poder, al agua y limpiando el pueblo. No hay mucho económica de la costa en esa zona y la gente tienen casas bien simples que se cayen en una tormenta como eso.

Una donación simple podría hacer una diferencia muy profunda al reconstruir los básicos a tener el pueblo abierto para el tourismo que viene en las próximas meces.

Sunset Paddle tours quiere dar un apodo al pueblo y la gente quien están haciendo el trabajo a hacer eso. Yo no estoy en Mazunte por eso momento pero estoy intentando a hacer una diferencia con eso apodo al pueblo mágico Mazunte. Te aseguro que esa donación va a ir a los quien están haciendo eso.
