Victor's Garden

Donation protected
The Community College of Baltimore County, School of Health Professions, and the Medical Imaging department faculty, staff, and students will be maintaining a flower and vegetable garden at the Baltimore Hatton Senior Center in Canton, in memory of Victor Malabayabas.

Mr. Malabayabas's life was cut short tragically a few months after his daughter Camille's Radiography Program Pinning Ceremony in 2022. Victor selflessly volunteered his time and efforts to his local community of Canton. He started a garden at the Hatton Senior Center, so that the seniors could have not only a beautified place to congregate, but also so that they could eat fresh local vegetables. He also started a garden at his local church, Saint Casimir's, besides volunteering his time for many other worthy causes.

CCBC Radiography and other health professions programs require students to complete service hours for graduation. Since Mr. Malabayabas is a shining example of servitude to one's community, the CCBC Radiography program decided to help continue his legacy at the senior center.

The funds will be used to purchase more garden tools, plants, soil, and containers. Any funds and equipment left over after this gardening season will be donated directly to the Baltimore Hatton Senior Center. We are also in need of physical man and woman hours to keep the garden growing and producing! If you would like to volunteer your time instead, please contact me. You need not be a green thumb; instructions will be included. Thank you!
