Hi everyone,
My name is John Remitar, and I’m from Greensborough, Victoria, Australia. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and many of my family members, friends, and community connections still live there.
I’m raising funds to support families and communities affected by Typhoon Fung-Wong and Typhoon Kalmaegi which has caused severe flooding, landslides, and widespread destruction across several provinces. Many have lost their homes and belongings and are struggling to meet their basic needs.
This cause is very personal to me. As someone who has always been involved in community support work and Filipino outreach, I want to do what I can to help our kababayans recover and rebuild.
How the funds will be used:
All donations will go directly toward:
Purchasing food packs, clean water, and basic necessities for affected families.
Providing clothing, blankets, and hygiene kits for evacuees and displaced individuals.
Supporting local volunteers and grassroots organisations on the ground who are coordinating relief distribution.
Assisting with temporary shelter repairs and other urgent recovery needs.
I will personally coordinate with trusted local contacts and community groups in the affected areas to ensure that all aid reaches those who need it most. Updates and photos of relief activities will be shared to maintain transparency.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference. Together, we can help bring hope and comfort to those affected by this disaster.
Thank you so much for your generosity and compassion.
John Remitar
Greensborough, VIC
