Vicki Martin & Les Nelms Tragic Total Loss Fire

My name is Randah Gaitan, a friend and colleague of Vicki's; I have set up this fundraiser on behalf of Vicki Martin and her brother, Les Nelms.

On Wednesday, December 14th, Vicki returned home from visiting with her brother, Les, who is in the hospital. She came upon the complete devastation to her beloved home she shared with her late husband Kenny, and her brother, and their fur babies. While thankful that neither she nor her brother were injured, the loss of their beloved pets is excruciating.

We have received notification from Suffolk Fire and Rescue that her beloved dog, Beau, was located inside the home. Vicki and Les have expressed their sincere gratitude to everyone who has searched and prayed for Beau.

Vicki and Les' friends and family are thankful they were not in the home at the time and are currently safe. However, no family possessions could be salvaged, as everything was determined to be a total loss. It will take time for them to rebuild their lives, and we hope to assist with this journey. We do not have a plan for collecting donations of food, clothing, personal care necessities, etc., but I will update this as soon as we have this information.

As family, friends, neighbors, and the community rally around them, we kindly ask for donations to help them get through this unimaginable tragedy.
