It is very hard for me to write this, but I am doing it because I want to help someone who has been fundamental in my life: my stepfather, Julio Vicente Paredes.

He came into my life when I was 9 years old, and since then he has been there like a true father. He raised me, took care of me, and has not only been a constant support in my life, but also a hardworking, responsible man who is completely dedicated to his family.

He currently lives in Isla de Margarita, Venezuela, and is going through a serious health condition. He has an incisional hernia (eventration) that has been growing over time; it causes him pain, discomfort, and has now become a constant issue that limits his daily life.

Doctors have indicated that he needs urgent surgery, as this type of hernia does not stop growing and continues to worsen. If not treated in time, it can lead to serious complications and even become a medical emergency.

The most difficult part is that he is the main provider for his household. In this condition, it has become harder for him to work as before, and we know how difficult the situation is in Venezuela.

As a family, we do not have the necessary resources to face this process on our own.

I wish I could handle this myself, but the reality is that I am not able to at this time.

That is why I decided to create this campaign, hoping to give him a helping hand in something so important as his health, and give him the opportunity to receive the treatment he needs to recover his well-being and his life.

Hoy me cuesta escribir esto, pero lo hago porque quiero ayudar a alguien que ha sido fundamental en mi vida: mi padrastro, Julio Vicente Paredes.

Él llegó a mi vida cuando yo tenía 9 años, y desde entonces ha estado ahí como un verdadero padre. Me crió, me cuidó y no solo ha sido un apoyo constante en mi vida, sino también una persona trabajadora, responsable y completamente dedicada a su familia.

Actualmente vive en la Isla de Margarita, Venezuela, y está pasando por un momento de salud complicado. Tiene una hernia tipo eventración que ha ido creciendo con el tiempo; le duele, le molesta y hoy se ha convertido en una incomodidad constante que limita su vida diaria.

Los médicos han indicado que necesita una cirugía urgente, ya que este tipo de hernias no se detienen, sino que empeoran. Si no se trata a tiempo, puede complicarse seriamente e incluso convertirse en una emergencia médica.

Lo más difícil de todo es que él es el principal sustento de su hogar. En estas condiciones, cada vez se le hace más difícil trabajar como antes, y sabemos que la situación en Venezuela es muy difícil.

Como familia, no contamos con los recursos necesarios para enfrentar este proceso solos.

Quisiera poder resolver esto por mi cuenta, pero la realidad es que no me es posible en este momento.

Por eso decidí crear esta campaña, con la esperanza de poder darle una mano en algo tan importante como su salud, y brindarle la oportunidad de recibir la atención que necesita para recuperar su bienestar y su vida.
