Help me in my year of mission!

Hi everyone!!

My name is Vibha! I am 18 years old and in year 13. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read this!

This year I will be finishing school, and I will be taking a gap year to serve as a missionary in the US with a Catholic organisation called National Evangelisation Teams (NET Ministries). The primary mission of NET ministries is to evangelise and help young people encounter Christ. This is something that’s close to my heart because I have been so greatly impacted by Catholic youth leaders around me who have been a pivotal part of my faith journey.

This year of mission will start with 5 weeks of training, starting in August, followed by nine months of mission. I’ll be placed in a team of 8-10 missionaries like myself who will be doing retreats for teenagers in Catholic schools and parishes with the sole purpose of giving the young people a space to encounter God.

By doing this year of mission, I want the teenagers I meet to experience Christ’s transformative love like I have and encounter Him in a personal way.

Serving with NET will also be a new step in my own faith journey, and I believe it will help me grow in so many ways, whether that be through learning new skills, growing in my prayer life, or experiencing true Christian community and building life-long friendships. It will also take me out of my comfort zone and challenge me in a lot of ways, helping me lean into my relationship with Christ and to trust Him more.

With all that said, to be a part of this amazing mission experience, I’ll need to raise a minimum total of £7000 which will go towards supporting my expenses in the US for a year including training, travel and more, as well as the flight ticket fares.
