Hello my name is Caroline, my dad is Viane "Jak"

Jak was recently detained by ICE on September 10th and will be deported back to Laos for a crime he was charged for 35+ years ago. Our family is very devastated and hurt. We knew ICE was deporting people back to Laos but we didn't know unexpectedly our father would be taken from us so soon. His immigration check in was on September 10th and we were fully aware of It but we didn't expect that our father would be detained and taken from us so soon with having a clean record for over 30+ years. My family and I aren't people to ever ask for anything but this incident took big toll on us and left all of us heart broken and devastated.

This is a very hard time for my family and I. My dad was a very hard working father. He was always the main provider and the main income for our family. The father that always made sure the kids were straight and well taken care of. He always put his family before anything even before himself. With our dad not being here it has took a big toll on us and money is very tight for us. While they took him for us they left all the responsibilities to fall on us. the process of him being deported hasn't fully hit home or sunk in quite  yet besides us being heart broken. We wont get to see him every morning or night. There wont be anymore telling him good mornings and good night or seeing him every morning or night before and after work because they stole that from us.

Not only did we want to get our fathers story out and heard they didn't just take my father, they took a father of 8 kids. A loving and caring grandfather of 5 grandchildren. A grandfather who wont get to be here or see his 5th grand child that is being born this month or even get to watch him grown up because they took that chance from him.

We all want our father to be here with us but it's not a option for us. They stole that from us. Anything and everything that is donated will be very very appreciated. It will help and be used for our father to help him start his new journey to and in Laos leaving here with nothing and going there with nothing. As we pray each and everyday prayers with/ from everyone and having faith that he will be safe is appreciated too. We pray nobody ever mistreats a sweet and kind hearted soul like our fathers. We pray for a safe travel as he makes It to Laos. Thank you for reading our father story that left a big impact on all of us.
