Healing Together: A Family Fund For Mental Health

Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Supporters,

We are reaching out to you today to ask for your help for a truly deserving individual, Polo, a loving father, engineer and talented artist who has been facing an incredibly tough journey. After separating from his wife, he has also been separated from his child, leading him into a deep struggle with depression. At times he experiences severe symptoms including manic episodes and hallucinations.

This past year has been exceptionally hard on him. He has lost his home, his cellphone, laptop and many of his personal belongings. Last month Paul was found wandering the streets in a disoriented state and inadvertently damaged someone’s property, which led to his arrest and subsequent placement under a mental health hold.

Polo is currently in Massachusetts. The initial plan was to relocate him closer to us, where he would have a supportive network. However, the judge overseeing his case has mandated that a comprehensive care plan be presented before he can be released. This plan must outline a rehabilitation program, confirm a stable living arrangement in Massachusetts, and ensure that he has a caregiver in place. Until these requirements are met, Polo cannot be released, leaving him in a difficult position as he awaits the next steps.

We are coming together to support Polo, but we need your help to make a difference. The funds raised through this GoFundMe will be used to cover his legal fees and to help him regain some stability in his life. Your generous contributions will make a profound impact, allowing Polo to focus on his recovery and future without the added stress of financial burden.
