VFW Post 3396 Youth Programs

Hello Potential Donors,

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Silver State Post 3396 is reaching out to our community to assist in raising funds for our local Voice of Democracy, Patriot Pen, and Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher program. These programs provide opportunity for our 6-12th grade students that participate in the programs. 

As for our Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher program we have always had the vision of raising enough funds to send our top teacher in the community to the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge Leadership academy Professional Development for Teachers Nationwide
Freedoms Foundation has been offering critically acclaimed teacher summer courses for more than 50 years. Nearly 14,000 educators, librarians, resource and special education teachers from around the world have participated in our programs with nationally recognized scholars who provide engaging, entertaining and interactive lectures. More information about Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3396: We provide support to our Service Members, Veterans, Their Families and our local Community. We help battle Suicide in our community. Our post has a history of hosting family day, trips to events, deployment and redeployment events, scholarships for Youth in the community and Veterans. We honor our local Law Enforcement, Fire and Paramedic's with special awards. All Funds we raise stay locally in the Sparks/Reno Community .
