Our amazing mom, Rhonda Hanisch Robinson, is the heart of our family. She has always been the one to care for others, but now she needs our help. She has been diagnosed with Stage 4 invasive ductal carcinoma, which has spread to her bones, lymph nodes, lungs, and brain. She is facing an intense treatment plan that includes radiation, chemotherapy, and hormonal therapy.

In addition to fighting cancer, our mom will also be starting medication to prevent Alzheimer’s and dementia, as her short-term memory may be affected by treatment and brain metastases. She is unable to work and is in the process of applying for disability, which can take months to approve.

Her greatest wish right now is to get a RV on a small plot, which has always been her life-long dream. This would also give her the ability to be closer to her doctors and support system.

We recently lost our dad New Year’s Day of 2022, and our mom has been the glue holding our family together through unimaginable grief. Now, she needs our strength, love, and community to hold her up.

• Costs of daily living as she undergoes treatment and awaits disability assistance
