Hi My name is Belinda and I'm trying to raise money for my dear friend Melissa Hansen

Melissa was diagnosed in January 2023 with Bowel cancer after having unexplained abdominal pain. Mel was rushed to hospital and underwent surgery to take out a huge tumor in her bowel leaving her with a colostomy bag while her bowel repaires itself.

After surgery Melissa has under gone multiple rounds of chemotherapy which has caused nerve damage called peripheral neuropathy which might be permanent leaving her with severe damage to her hand and feet resulting in Melissa being in a wheelchair. To date Melissa has been in hospital for over a month and had several falls.

Melissa isn't allowed home unless she has 24/7 care and a chair lift installed at her house to access her front door safely due to not being able to use stairs.
