Veteran's Memorial at Canyon Park - Rehab

Hi, my name is James Vierra and I am beginning to work on my project to obtain the highest distinction in the Boys Scouts of America, the rank of Eagle. One major component in achieving this honor I have to plan, develop and give leadership to others in a service project.

I have been granted permission by the City of Monrovia to rehabilitate the Veteran's Memorial in Canyon Park. The memorial was uncovered during the Bob Cat fires and needs a little TLC.

I plan to purchase a new picnic bench and flag pole with a solar light and an American-made flag. I will be renovating the existing bench and installing a new handrail. Also, we will plant California native plants.
