Hello, my name is James Caffrey, I am a Defence Forces Transport Veteran, 76 years of age and I am climbing Croagh Patrick on Saint Patrick's Day and walking the Camino Santiago on July 13th in support of the Organisation of National Ex-Service Personnel ONE. Some of my comrades have found themselves homeless and in need of support and I am thankful that we have homes and services that they can access.
ONE is a registered charity, its mission is to provide accommodation for homeless veterans and deliver a wide range of advice and mental health support through its network of branches, Veteran Support Centres, and dedicated Veteran Support Officers. As the organisation prepares to mark its 75th year, its mission remains clear: to stand with those who served when they need it most ensuring ‘No Irish Veteran is Left Behind’
Veterans do not choose to become homeless, or to suffer with mental health issues. Choice requires both rights and opportunity. ONE continues to work tirelessly to restore those rights and create those opportunities.
I have have been fortunate to serve with some of the finest & dedicated soldiers here at home and on overseas missions, this is my opportunity to assist those who look after them.
Please donate, no matter how small the amount, collectively, it will make a generous impact and together we can make sure that ‘No Irish Veteran is Left Behind’
