VH School lunches during Coronavirus Closure

During this school closure, VHCS has been providing sack lunches to students who may need it. Next week during Spring Break, lunches will not be provided. The Leadership Vestavia Hills Hunger Awareness Project is working with local restaurants to provide lunches March 23-27. We want to make sure the students who need a little extra help receive it, while giving some local restaurants some much-needed extra business. Your donation will help in 2 different ways in our community.

Who We Are: We are member of the Leadership Vestavia Hills Hunger Awareness Project.  We all live and/or work in Vestavia Hills, AL.

Who We Are Serving: Vestavia Hills City School students who are in need of a meal over Spring Break.  During the current school closure, VHCS has been continuing to provide meals to students in need.  However, the system will not distribute meals over Spring Break, so our group will fill the gap.

Where will the money go: We will be using all funds collected to pay for boxed lunches from a variety of local restaurants. Shelley Gentle, one of our team members, will withdraw the funds from our campaign and use that to pay the restaurants.  All receipts will be submitted to Leadership Vestavia Hills.
