Hello, as you all know, my name is Gloria. I have two kids, Jose (8) and Ismael (11). I used to live in Elmwood, WI. We owned a food truck business named Gordo’s Tacos & Burritos and also a store named Mi Tiendita LLC. Due to family issues, we had to move to the state of Indiana. We went ahead and sold the food truck, and we also sold the Mexican store.
Now, when we sold the Mexican store, my husband Adolfo was stopped by police and was arrested for a tail light that did not work, and he had no driver's license. He was sent to the state of Indiana and was being deported. We had to pay his lawyer and a bond, but when we paid the bond, he was already taken by immigration and was deported back to Mexico. I needed to leave to Indiana, so I sold everything cheap. We got an offer from the Mexican store in Menomonie, La Veracruzana, and the owners gave me a check for the store. I went ahead and deposited it into my account.
Now, I am being told the check is fraudulent, and my account was closed under investigation for 90 days. I am left with zero dollars at the moment with no financial support. I just found a job that I work from 10:00 am - 10:30 pm as a server in a Mexican restaurant in Indiana. I don’t get to see my kids at all. My husband is now in Mexico, our family is separated, and the owners of the store ripped us off and reported the check as fraudulent. That was the only money I had to make it for these coming months. Now, I don’t have anything. I don’t wish this on anyone. I want everyone to be aware of the type of person you guys will have in town because I sold him the entire store, and he did us wrong.
If anything you guys can send, we will truly appreciate it. Our plans are to move to Mexico once all this is resolved to be with my husband again. So, if you're ever there, let us know, and you can visit us. Thank you to anyone that helped us. God bless you all.
