I was contacted by a friend nun  Hermana Maria Olga that runs a small orphan house in Araira, Venezuela.  With no internet service on site, she walked a long way to find a connection to ask me via WhatsApp if I could help her. She has 11 kids currently at Casa Hogar and they were running out of food.  The few people that usually help were not able to do so, and she sounded desperate.

I have known her for over 25 years since I began doing community service as part of my high school requirements. She is usually positive and very resourceful so her distress really worried me. She relies on small business donations of food and money and the situation in Venezuela has force them out of business thus unable to help.

I am now soliciting your help to send them more groceries that will hold them over during this pandemic, and this period of economic instability.  I have estimated that $400 - $500 will buy them a months worth of food - assuming that gas prices do not increase that much. I am hoping to have at least 3 months worth secured to see how the pandemic issues play down there.

NO amount is too low - $1, $5, $100 - whatever you can contribute will go 100% to feed these kids. Please help in whatever way you can!
