On 24th June, Venezuela was struck by devastating twin earthquakes that caused widespread destruction across the country. Entire neighbourhoods were reduced to rubble, thousands of families lost their homes, and many were left sleeping outdoors with nowhere safe to go. The disaster has placed an enormous burden on communities that were already facing years of economic hardship and limited access to resources.

My name is Carmen, and although I now live in London, the city I call home, Venezuela will always be my first home. I grew up in the city of Guarenas, and my heart remains with the people and communities who shaped my life.

Many incredible organizations are already providing emergency assistance such as food, clean water, medicine, clothing, and other essential supplies. Their work is vital and deserves our full support. However, once the initial emergency has passed, many families will still face the heartbreaking reality of having nowhere to live.

That is why I have created the Venezuela Relief Fund – Give Hope. Change Lives.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help families rebuild their lives by providing support for those who have lost their homes. Donations will be used to:

Help rebuild damaged or destroyed homes.

Provide temporary shelter or emergency housing assistance.

Support urgent housing-related needs for families who have nowhere safe to sleep.

Help families begin rebuilding their lives with dignity and hope.

My initial focus will be in Guarenas, the city where I grew up. Many families in this neighbourhood have been deeply affected and are now facing an uncertain future.

I am committed to ensuring that every donation is used responsibly and transparently. I will share regular updates on how the funds are distributed, the families we are able to help, and the progress we make together.
