Hello, We are Ricardo & Amir. We are from Norwalk, Connecticut. January 23rd 2016 and February 26th we took our 1st & 2nd trip to Flint, Michigan. We drove 15 hrs from Connecticut through a winter storm to bring a van full of waters to the Flint Michigan community our 1st trip. Our 2nd trip we drove 33 hrs because we managed to collect over 2,000 cases of water instead of 70 like we did our 1st trip thanks to the community. Our 2nd trip took longer because we had to drive slower due to all the weight in the truck we took, we also ran into a couple issues like breaking down, etc. We had no address but we just knew we had to reach Flint to help out our brothers and sisters. Although the citizens of Flint are facing a tremendous hardship we met a lot of kind souls and beautiful spirits. We have been fortunate enough to build relationships with some of the people and organizations in the community and we have been keeping in touch them to check up on them and to see of any progress. The residents have really enlightened us so much on the whole situation. They really still need our help even though the media says different. Please watch the video to see more info on all of this. 
July 22nd 2016 we will be taking our 3rd trip out to Flint.  This time e are planning on taking another 26 foot truck or bigger. We are trying to make this trip bigger and better.

The funds raised will be used to buy water and for travel expenses (gas, tolls, etc.) also to rent another truck or van if needed.

For a couple years now thousands of residents of the city of Flint, MI have been drinking water contaminated with nearly twice the safe level of lead. Even more shocking, some areas have found between four and forty times the safe levels. This is an urgent crisis! This should be getting MORE media coverage. Many people outside of Michigan DO NOT know what is going on. Water distribution points are running out of water and may not be resupplied for several days. There is currently no plan on a state and national level to deal with this problem. We can provide clean water but we need your help. Every donation matters!

What can You do to help?

 We are providing fresh, clean drinking water until the is an appropriate plan from the state and federal government to treat the unacceptable l evels of lead in the water.

Flint has an extraordinarily high level of poverty These families aren’t able to have access to a supply of clean water.

For your financial donation, we are able to provide families in Flint with bottled water. We would also use partial of the funds for travel expenses. (renting van or truck, gas and tolls)
