Twenty-twenty was a hard year for many - and our family falls into that category, as well. Summer's dad's was diagnosed with terminal cancer, COVID hit, we suffered two miscarriages back to back, and we lost Summer's dad at the end of the year. Alot of wrestling with emotions & many tears -- but God proved so faithful. As always. In the Bible, Jeremiah 17 talks about a tree planted by streams of water, and though hard times and drought come, this tree's leaves remain green, and it never ceases bears fruit. This is what God promises us when we "remain in Him."
This was 2020 for The Powell family.
We felt so rooted & grounded beside streams of water -- though weary, we were never thirsty, and always hopeful -- knowing and believing Our God had a plan far better than we could imagine.
Summer's dad came to know the Lord & is in heaven rejoicing today - an answer to many, many prayers and pleadings.
And after much prayer, we decided ADOPTION was the best next step for growing our family & honoring the Lord.
