Hi Friends and Family,
Thank you for your support in welcoming our new baby!
We created this fundraising page to help with costs associated with the birth that are not covered by insurance such as the services of a doula, birth classes, certain pain medications, and some services from other specialists.
We also want to purchase many of our baby items from independent local businesses or buy used items, so we will use the money to buy baby gear that isn't included on our registry.
These funds will help us feel more able to take time off to be with the baby for the first few weeks or months. Both of us are self-employed, so we don't have any sort of parental leave.
It's amazing how unexpected costs can add up, we are so grateful for any contributions. Our friends and family make up our community. We love you and hope to spend time with you soon.
