THE PROMETHEUS TEAM & @STAYCLASSY (JOEN + AMALIE) are running a campaign to raise money for less fortunate children on the island of Madeira, Portugal.
ABOUT THE RAISE
By vandalising a Porsche, we aim to bring a smile back to Portuguese children and engage with a local community to do the unthinkable in a symbolic act of defiance to the war, politics and capitalism. In the current cost of living crisis, there are untold stressors in communities that are impacting those less fortunate.
As a multi-diverse team from many countries living and embracing the Portuguese way of life, we feel it is our social responsibility to leave positive impacts on the communities we are part of, to facilitate change and contribute in meaningful ways to protect the future of the children in this beautiful country that we have chosen as our home.
This campaign is a docu-series for YouTube to show the value in human diversity, highlighting the love and generosity of residents and non-residents, and that the inclusion and transparent discussion amongst all people in society is a critical pillar to fight against divisive politics that disrupt harmony.
We are all partly responsible for the afflictions suffered by those without a voice, especially children.
As it is the season of motor rallies in Madeira, we crafted this playful campaign for solidarity where locals and foreigners alike are interviewed on what they love about Portugal, whilst paying for the privilege of expressing their opinions through artistic vandalism on a sports car in an act of defiance to hate, war, capitalism and abuse of power.
Our mission as organisers is to showcase the diversity and harmony among the local populous, while simultaneously helping children and young people that are most affected by human actions beyond their own control, denying them a just and fulfilled future whilst limiting their opportunities. We want to spread messages of peace, love and hope, and that as humans, we have to try to be better for the next generation.

Proceeds raised from generous donations and payments by our on-street artists who pay to vandalise the car will be sent to a variety of charities:

- The organisation of the Mark Madeira Wanderers III. Mark is an Englishman with Multiple Sclerosis, who moved to Madeira five years ago and organises annual fundraiser events to empower disabled people of all ages;
- Children's Cancer Wards at Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital;
- Proeza Altruísta Cultural Association - the project "One child, one opportunity, one future: learning from the past and the present to build a better future";
- The Raquel Lombardi Cultural and Social Solidarity Association, dedicated to the causes of disease prevention and health promotion;
- The Judo Brava Club, dedicated to the training and development of young people through the practice of becoming a judoka;
