Your donation will provide emotional and mental support to residents of a San Francisco nursing home and financial support to Folio Books.

Since March 16th over 350 residents of our local nursing home have been isolated without visitors. The purpose of this fundraiser is to deliver hundreds of new books to engage the residents (through coloring books and word puzzles), calm and soothe them (through pop-up flower books and verses), and transport them to new worlds (through large-font novels and literature).

A happy additional benefit to this fundraiser is that we will be placing one of the largest orders Folio Books has ever received, a direly needed lifeline during the lockdown. Folio Books's only source of revenue now is online sales, directly in competition with Amazon. The books donated will be shipped directly from their wholesaler as to allow for the least amount of physical contact with the items being delivered.

A $50 donation will provide one elderly nursing home resident days of relief from the tedium of isolation. Please consider giving as much as you are able so we have enough books for the 350+ residents.
